Jean Elizabeth McCarthy (81) died peacefully at home on January 26, 2025, in Des Moines, Iowa. Visitation will be held at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church (1020 24th St., West Des Moines, IA 50266) on February 28, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Services will be held March 1, 2025, at 11:00 am at St. Timothy's. A livestream link from St. Timothy’s YouTube channel will be provided. Please visit www.caldwellparrish.com for updates. The interment will be held April 19, 2025, at Center Cemetery in Wayland, Iowa. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Interfaith Alliance of Iowa at https://www.interfaithallianceiowa.org/donate, an organization that was very important to Jean.
