Jean M. Henessee

Jean May "Hooey" Henessee, 84, of Mt. Pleasant, died Sunday, Jan. 25, at her home.

Visitation will begin at noon Wednesday, Jan. 28, at Elliott Chapel in New London with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 29, at the Chapel with the Rev. Gary Van Nyuis officiating. Burial will be at Burge Cemetery in New London.

Memorials have been established for the St. Jude Children's Hospital and the Susan G. Komen Cancer Fund.

She was born Feb. 17, 1924, in Chicago, the daughter of William and May Newman Flynn, and was later adopted by Emil and Adelle Lacour. On Feb. 8, 1943, she married Ellis Henessee in Mt. Pleasant.
