Jeanette Conrad

      HARPER - Jeanette Conrad, 80, of Harper, died Saturday, May 7, 2005, at her home, following a lengthy illness.

      A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 10, 2005, at Holy Trinity Parish-St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Harper, with the Rev. Marty Goetz officiating. Burial will be in St. Elizabeth Cemetery. Visitation is today, from 3 until 8 p.m., at Powell Funeral Home in Keota, where there will be an Altar and Rosary Society rosary said at 3 p.m., and a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. Memorial funds have been established for the American Cancer Society and Hospice of Keokuk County.

      Mrs. Conrad was born Nov. 10, 1924, in Lafayette Township in Keokuk County, to Francis J. and Myrtle (Brown) Striegel. On Aug. 21, 1943, she married Alfred "Fritz" Conrad in Harper.
