Jeffery Alan Bader, 64, of Holy Cross, Alaska, passed away January 30, 2019, at Providence Transitional Care Center in Anchorage, Alaska.

Jeff was born April 9, 1954, in Shullsburg, Wisconsin, to Wendell and Mary (Hinman) Bader and raised in Bloomfield, Iowa. He married Judy Herr in 1974, they later divorced. Jeff graduated from Northeast Missouri State University. In 1992, he received his Masters Degree in Education at University of Missouri in Columbia. Jeff taught 10 years at Wyaconda, Missouri. In 2002 he moved to Holy Cross, Alaska and was principal and teacher for 16 years.

Survivors include his daughter: Jill Bader of Keota; six siblings: Mark (Janna) Bader of Potosi, Wisconsin, Amy (Frank) Tinsley of Columbia, Missouri, Terri (Bob) Maley of Otterville, Missouri, Wanda (Mike) Bader-McGrath of Wasilla, Alaska, Curt (Berta) Bader of Boise, Idaho and Mike (Julie) Bader of Bevier, Missouri; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Celebration of Life Service 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 23, 2019, at the United Church of Faith in Keota, with Pastor Vince Homan officiating. Visitation 10:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the church.
