Jeffery Paul Snelling, 54, of Fairfield, passed away November 23, 2022, at Jefferson County Health Center.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 1, 2022, at Behner Funeral Home.

Graveside funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday December 2, 2022, at Evergreen Cemetery.

Jeffery was born May 24, 1968, to Paul Edward and Esther Elizabeth (Russell) Snelling in Laguna Beach, California.

Jeffery worked as a shift foreman at Nelson Company. He loved listening to his son Paul talk about different TV shows and video games. While his health allowed, Jeffrey enjoyed his walks with his daughter Elizabeth and dog Sparkles. He was also in the process of teaching his daughter Elizabeth how to drive. What filled Jeffrey’s heart the most was being a father to his children. He also a had a grand kitties, Orion and Taffy.

Jeffrey will be missed by his children, Elizabeth Snelling and Paul Snelling, both of Fairfield and stepdaughter, Crystal Hartman; stepgrandchild, Malachi Hartman; mother, Liz Snelling; two sisters, Christine Liles of Fairfield and Ronda Snelling of Keosauqua; and two nieces, Laura Burianov and Sara Clemons.

He was preceded in death by his father, Paul; brother, Bryan Hootman; and grandparents, Harold and Florence Snelling.
