Jeffrey Jay Burkhalter

      Jeffrey Jay Burkhalter, 46, of Chatsworth, Ill., died at 8:07 a.m. Thursday, March 1, 2007, at his residence.

      A funeral will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Martin-Burke Funeral Home in Chatsworth, with the Rev. Ann Champion and Max Moore officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded after the service, and inurnment will be at a later date.

      Visitation will be begin at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

      In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.

      Mr. Burkhalter was born Sept. 16, 1960, in Ottumwa, the son of Edward "Ed" and Alberta Simmons Burkhalter. He married Julie K. Knittles June 7, 1998, in Chatsworth.
