Jeffrey Lynd McGee went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at the Keota Care Center following a courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease. A celebration of life will be held Friday, August 4, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington, with Pastor Doug Tinnes officiating. A private graveside service will be held prior to the service at Elm Grove Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Thursday, August 3, 2023, from 5 to 7 P.M. at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington. A memorial fund has been established for the Good Neighbor Fellowship Building Fund.

Jeffrey was born on July 24, 1953, in Philadelphia, PA, the son of Edward and Sara (Stambaugh) McGee. He held a Master's Degree in Social Work and was a social worker at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Iowa City. On February 7, 1981, he was united in marriage to Nina Warren in Hershey, PA. Jeff was a member of the Good Neighbor Fellowship in Keota and enjoyed reading, golfing, watching sports, traveling and singing.

Survivors include his wife, Nina of Washington; three children, Sarah McGee (Fotis Bantidas) of Athens, Greece, Marcus McGee of Washington, Hunter McGee of Japan; two grandchildren, Nina and Alexandros; one brother, Ronald (Jean) McGee and nephews, Todd and Kyle McGee of Chadds Ford, PA; and one sister, June (Gene) Aleshin of Gaithersburg, MD.

Preceding Jeff in death were his parents; one sister, Joy Riley; and a nephew, Bradley Slough.
