Jeremy Ray Harbison, age 50, of Brighton, Iowa, passed away Thursday, November 28, 2024, at the University of Iowa Hospital following a brief illness.

A celebration of life visitation will be held from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Monday, December 2, 2024, at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Washington, Iowa, Private family services will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Brighton, Iowa. Jeremy was born August 29, 1974, in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Jerry and Lona (Simpson) Harbison. Jeremy graduated from Washington High School in 1993 and was a life resident of the Brighton Community. Jeremy was a loving son, a devoted husband, and a wonderful father, grandfather, and uncle. He was united in marriage to Erin Anderson on December 11, 2015. Together he and Erin were partners in everything they did; they were business partners of Harbison Fencing and Harbison Cattle Company, which will continue to operate in Jeremy’s memory by Erin. Jeremy enjoyed everything that had to do with being outdoors.

He is survived by his wife, Erin Harbison of Brighton, IA; son Wyatt (Abbie) Harbison of Brighton, IA; daughter, Hailey (Hunter Shultz) Harbison of Brighton, IA; daughter, Kylie (Garrett) Webb of Richland, IA; two grandchildren, Cody and Bexley; parents, Jerry and Lona Harbison of Brighton, IA; sister, Shawna (Joseph) Hopkins of Brighton, IA; and two nieces, Alex Cantu and Alyssa Irvine.

Jeremy was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Carl and Wilma Harbison, and maternal grandparents, Kenneth, and Elda Metz.
