Jerry Emmack, 79, of Sun Lakes, AZ, passed away on March 18, 2021, surrounded

by his loved ones at Hospice of the Valley, Dobson facility in Chandler, AZ.

Jerry was born in Fairfield, IA, to parents Leo and Alice Emmack and grew up with six siblings on a farm near Fairfield. He married Janet Ferguson in Fairfield in 1961 and they would have celebrated 60 years of marriage later this fall.

He is survived by his loving wife; two children, Denise (Doug) Koester from Chatham, IL, and Greg (Sue) Emmack, from Elkhart, IN; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Jerry worked for Michigan/Wisconsin Pipeline for 30 years in Kewanee, IL, before retiring to Arizona. Once "retired", he began working for Sun Lakes Pest Control for an additional 17 years. Jerry did not know a stranger and those that knew him knew that he was an epic storyteller, joke teller, loving husband, wonderful Dad and great friend.

He was a member of the Moose Lodge and Jaycees in Kewanee as well as the Lions Club in Arizona. He enjoyed playing cards, reading and spending time with family and friends.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.
