Jerry J. Schulte

      Jerry J. Schulte, 51, of West Point, died at 1:52 a.m. Friday, Jan. 7, 2005, at University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City.

      The memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. today at St. Mary's Catholic Church in West Point, with the Rev. Apo T. Mpanda officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in West Point. The family will meet friends one hour prior to the church service. Link Funeral Home in West Point is in charge of arrangements. Memorials have been established to Marquette Schools or to St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Survivors include his parents; two brothers, LeRoy and his wife Anne Schulte of Marshalltown, and Jon and his wife Tammy Schulte of Culpeper, Va.; and four sisters, Libby and her husband Robert "Rope" Laughlin of Fort Madison, Mary and her husband Dave Donovan of LeClaire, Jodi and her husband Andy Bertolino of Gloucester, Mass., and Amy and her husband Glen Witt of Davenport.

      He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
