Jerry D. Jordan, 78, of

West Burlington, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2020, at MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines.

Jerry was born Dec. 8, 1941, in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, the son of Robert L. and Marcelene L. (Brownell) Jordan. He was united in marriage to Bonnie Wilson on Nov. 15, 1968. They divorced. Jerry worked for J I Case in Burlington and Iowa Army Ammunition Plant in Middletown. He enjoyed spending time at the farm and going to car races at 34 Raceway.

Jerry is survived by his children, Julie Jordan and Randy (Diane) Jordan, all of West Burlington; his grandchildren, Jennifer Jordan, Jody (Michelle) Jordan, Jessica (Jake) Luers, Dustin Jordan and Eli Jordan; and his great-grandchildren, Layla Jordan, Stella Jordan and Jace Jordan.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Craig Jordan; and his sister, Joyce Jordan.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, at the Greenwood Cemetery, rural Burlington. Friends may call from 2 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11, at Murphy Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. A memorial has been established in his memory. According to his wishes, cremation has been entrusted to the care of Murphy Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant.
