Jess M. Peachy

      KALONA - Jess M. Peachy, 85, of Kalona, died Thursday, Dec. 18, 2003, at his home, following a brief illness.

      A Celebration of Life will be held at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 21, at the home of Duane Miller on Cosgrove Road in rural Kalona, with Ivan Borntrager and Truman Miller officiating. Burial will take place Tuesday, Dec. 23, in Guthrie, Ky. Visitation will begin at 4:30 p.m. Friday and continue through the evening and all day Saturday. A general memorial fund has been established. Peterseim Funeral Service in Kalona is in charge of arrangements.

      Mr. Peachy was born July 3, 1918, to Jacob S. and Sadie (Zook) Peachy in Sellings Grove, Penn. He married Sadie Kurtz, who died in 1991. He married Leona Miller in 1993 in Kalona.
