Jess W. Grout

    KALONA ? Jess W. Grout, 89, of Kalona, died Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, in Pleasantview Home in Kalona after a short illness.

    Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25, at the Sharon Center United Methodist Church at 2824  520th Street in rural Kalona with the Rev. Doug Cue officiating.  Burial will be in the South Sharon Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona.  Memorials may be directed to the Sharon Center United Methodist Church or Pleasantview Home.

    Mr. Grout was born May 1, 1920, near Kalona, the son of James and Nina (Southwick) Grout.
