Jesse O. Miller

      KALONA-Jesse O. Miller, 85, died Thursday, Nov. 23, 2006, at Pleasantview Home in Kalona from complications of Parkinson's disease.

      Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, at Salem Mennonite Church in rural Keota, with the Rev. Wilford Beachy officiating. Burial will be in the Peter Miller Cemetery in rural Kalona. Visitation began on Sunday and will also be held from 6 until 8 p.m. today at the church. Yoder-Powell Funeral Home in Kalona is in charge of the arrangements.

      Mr. Miller was born Oct. 14, 1921, in Goshen, Ind., to Obed and Maryann (Miller) Miller. He married Mary Mae Garber on March 19,1942, in Sugar Creek, Ohio. They made their home in rural Wellman and moved to Kalona in 2003. Mr. Miller worked at Graber's Plumbing and Heating and then at Home Gas for 30 years. He was a member of Salem Mennonite Church.
