Joan Heath

ANAMOSA ? Joan Heath, 86, of Anaomosa, died Friday, Aug. 14, 2009, at the Anamosa Care Center.

    Friends and family may call at the home of Robert and Gwen Fuller from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22. The Cremation Society of Eastern-Central-Western Iowa is assisting the family. Donations may be sent to the Wildlife Diversity Program, Iowa Department of Natural Resources, at 1436 255th St., Boone, IA 50036.

    Mrs. Heath was born in Washington on Aug. 5, 1923, to Thomas and Naomi Gerdes. She graduated from St. Luke?s Hospital School of Nursing and did private duty nursing in New York City during World War II. She retired in 1982, after 20 years as an RN at St. Luke?s Hospital.
