Joan J. Hutchcroft

Joan J. Hutchcroft, 81, of Washington, died Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2008, in Halcyon House in Washington after failing in health for the past six months.

      Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 18, in the United Methodist Church in Washington with the Rev. Julie Poulsen officiating. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Sunday in the Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington where the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Interment will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Kossuth Cemetery in rural Mediapolis. Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church of Washington.

      Mrs. Hutchcroft was born Oct. 11, 1926 in Prairie City, the daughter of Ralph and Celeste (Graham) Jones. She married Edward Hutchcroft on May 30, 1948 in Burlington.
