Joan J. Williams, 64, of rural Trenton died Saturday, Jan. 19, at her home.

Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, at Murphy Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, with the family present. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Dylan Does officiating. Her body will be cremated following the service; inurnment will be held at a later date at Gilson Cemetery in Gilson, Ill.

She was born May 2, 1943, in Galesburg, Ill., the daughter of William and Betty Cramer Jefferson. On June 22, 1990, she married Richard Williams in Brighton.

A graduate of Knoxville High School in Knoxville, Ill., she worked at Fansteel Manufacturing Company in Washington.

She is survived by her husband; three sons, Rick Williams and his wife Jackie of Kalona, Donnie Williams and his wife Brenda of Brighton and Kenny Williams and his wife Melissa of Washington; three brothers, Jerry Jefferson and his wife Laura of Oregon, Jeff Jefferson and his wife Sue of Gilson, Ill. and John Jefferson of New London; two sisters, Jennifer Smith and her husband Chuck of Gilson, Ill. and Jolene Jefferson and her friend Charles Rickey of Galesburg, Ill.; and 10 grandchildren.

Her parents and brother Jack Jefferson preceded her in death.
