Joann C. Phillis

BLOOMFIELD ? Joann C. Phillis, 87, of Bloomfield, died Saturday, June 5, 2010, in the Bloomfield Care Center in Bloomfield.

    Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 9, at the Bloomfield United Methodist Church with the Rev. Kevin Gingerich officiating.  Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery in Bloomfield.  Visitation began after 9 a.m. today at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield, where the family will be present to greet friends from 6 to 7 p.m.   Memorials have been established to the Bloomfield United Methodist Church and the Davis County Fine Arts Council.

    Mrs. Phillis was born Jan. 8, 1923, in Oskaloosa, the daughter of Harry and Bessie (Tandy) Dichting.  She married Raymond J. Phillis on July 29, 1940, in Lancaster, Mo.
