Joanna Ward

      RICHLAND - Joanna Ward, 88, of Richland, died Thursday, May 12, 2005, at Sigourney Care Center in Sigourney, following a lengthy illness.

      Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, May 16, 2005, at Richland Friends Cemetery, with the Rev. Jason Nicholls and the Rev. Jim Bringman officiating. There will be a luncheon at the Rubio Community Building following services. Open visitation will be held at Gould Funeral Home in Richland from 2 to 5 p.m., Sunday afternoon. A memorial has been established for Keokuk County Historical Society.

      Mrs. Ward was born Jan. 2, 1917, in Richland, to Asbury and Miriam (Sasseen) Bond. She married Kermit Mills Ward in Washington on July 3, 1939.
