Joe H. Kauffman

      KALONA - Joe H. Kauffman, 85, of Kalona, died Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2002, at Washington County Hospital in Washington, following a lengthy illness.

      Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 13, at the Sunnyside Conservative Mennonite Church in Kalona with the Rev. Floyd Helmuth, the Rev. David L. Yoder and the Rev. Leon Stutzman officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery near Kalona. Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. Thursday at the church, where the family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. A memorial fund has been established for the Sunnyside Conservative Mennonite Church and the Pleasantview Home. The Yoder-Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Kalona is in charge of the arrangements.
