Joe Stalder

      BRIGHTON - Joe Stalder, 87, of Brighton, died Monday, May 16, 2005, at Washington County Hospital in Washington, following a brief illness.

      A Mass of the Resurrection will begin at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, May 19, 2005, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in East Pleasant Plain, with the Rev. Marty Goetz officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Family visitation will begin at 6 p.m, Wednesday, followed by Prayers for a Christian Wake at 7 p.m., at the church. A memorial has been established for St. Joseph Catholic Church. Gould Funeral Home in Brighton is handling arrangements.

      Mr. Stalder was born Jan. 19, 1918, near Coppock, to Joseph and Mary (Kaufman) Stalder. He married Jean Miller in East Pleasant Plain on July 3, 1951.
