John 'Bill' Fenton

John "Bill" Fenton, 91, of Mt. Pleasant, died at 6:55 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, 2005, at Arbor Court in Mt. Pleasant.

      The funeral was at 10:30 a.m. today at the First United Methodist Church, with the pastor, Dr. Edward Peterson officiating. Burial with full military rites was in Forest Home Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant. Memorials have been established to the First United Methodist Church or to a charity of the donor's choice.

Survivors include his wife; a son, John "Jack" Fenton and wife Karen of Apple Valley, Minn.; a stepson, Gary Peterson and wife Sue of Blue Grass; a stepdaughter, Diane Caldwell and husband Allen of Mt. Pleasant; and seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

      In addition to his first wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers.
