John D. Morris
John D. Morris, 91, of Washington, died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2007, following a brief decline in health, at Washington County Hospital.
Celebration of Life services will be held at a later date. Burial will be at the Harrison Cemetery in rural Wapello at a later date. Memorials may be made to Camp Wyoming. Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington is assisting with the arrangements.
Mr. Morris was born Feb. 12, 1916, in Wapello, the son of Walter and Lola (Wiederrecht) Morris. He married Ruth E. Howie on July 5, 1939, in Monticello.
He graduated from Wapello High School and Iowa State University. He served in the Navy during World War II.
