John D. Reneger

      John D. Reneger, 83, of Washington, died Monday, Dec. 24, 2007, in the Washington Care Center following a short illness.

      Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, in the Jones-Eden Funeral home in Washington with the Rev. Julie Poulsen officiating. Visitation will begin at noon today in the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment with military honors conducted by Washington American Legion Post No. 29 will be in Bethel Cemetery. A general memorial fund has been established.

      Mr. Reneger was born July 1, 1924, in Toledo, Ohio, the son of C.F. and Pearl (Henning) Reneger. He married Ruth Wagenknecht on Oct. 23, 1954, in United Methodist Church in Washington.
