John E. Layman
John E. Layman, 83, of Washington, died Saturday, July 13, 2002, at Halcyon House in Washington, following a lengthy illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 18, at Beatty Funeral Home in Washington, with the Rev. Kelly Allard officiating. Burial will be in Columbus City Cemetery. Visitation begins at noon on Wednesday at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. A memorial has been established for Hospice of Washington County, Halcyon House and Church of the Nazarene in Iowa City.
