John Jay Kauffman
KALONA ? John Jay Kauffman, 72, of rural Iowa City, died Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2012, in the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City from injuries suffered in an auto accident.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 2, at the East Union Mennonite Church in Kalona with the Rev. Jay Miiller officiating. Burial will follow at the East Union Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona. A memorial fund has been established for an IMS Scholarship Fund or Water For Life.
