John K. Williams, police sergeant with the Coralville Police Department for 28 years, passed away July 3, 2022. He was 59 years old.

A funeral service for John will be held on Monday, July 11, 10 a.m., at Grace Community Church, 2707 Dubuque St. NE, North Liberty, IA 52317. A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 10, from 4 to 7 p.m. also at Grace Community Church.

John was born April 25, 1963, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Gary and Sandra (Lauger) Williams. John was raised in Mount Pleasant, Iowa, and graduated from Mount Pleasant High School in 1981. John was a man of integrity, precision and love. He cared deeply for his community and loved his family endlessly. His wife, Kim, was his greatest ally, and his children and grandchildren were his foundation. The grief we feel for John is immense, but his memory and legacy will be carried on through all who love him.

John’s family includes his beloved, wife, Kim; children, Brandon (Nicole) Williams, Benjamin (Lauren) Williams, Sarah Williams and Rebekah Williams; grandchildren, Noah, Elijah, Elsa, Adalyn, Kalliope and Emma; and siblings, CJ Williams and David (Susan) Williams.
