John Lee Hohl, 84, passed peacefully in his sleep on July 10, 2023, in Manassas, VA.

John was born in Donnellson, Iowa January 18, 1939, to Edgar and Vivian(Gray) Hohl. John graduated from the University of Iowa and spent 3 years in the U.S. Army. He was married to Mary (Young) in 1962, formerly of Washington, Iowa. John and Mary raised their family in Washington as he worked in the John Deere Company and had a large rural property with exotic animals.

John will be missed by his children, Jon Bradley of Ft. Myers, Florida, and Denise (Hohl) Hallem and Wayne of Gainesville, VA. He has five grandchildren.

He spent many years enjoying his family from Donnellson and his grandchildren from Virginia. John enjoyed life's greatest adventures and spent several years traveling and exploring various countries. He had a big spirit and never met a stranger.
