John M. Harrison July 10, 1925 - February 28, 2004

John M. "Jim" or "JM" Harrison, 78, of Salem , formerly of Warsaw, Ill., died suddenly Saturday evening, Feb. 28, 2004, at the Henry County Health Center in Mt. Pleasant.

      The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 3, at the Beatty Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with the Rev. Tom Palmer officiating. Burial will be in the Salem South Cemetery with military rites. Visitation begins at noon on Tuesday, March 2, at the funeral home with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. A memorial has been established.

Survivors include a son, John Jr. and his wife Teresa Harrison; and a daughter, Hilda and her husband Russell Launer, all of Warsaw; six grandchildren; and a special friend, Opal Fuller of Salem.

      In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents.
