John R. McEvoy, Sr., 82, of Rock Island, Ill., died Monday, Aug. 14, 2000, at Trinity Medical Center in Rock Island.
Funeral services were held today at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Rock Island. Burial was in the National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Memorials may be directed to the church or the American Lung Association. Wheelan Funeral Home in Rock Island is in charge of arrangements.
