John Raymond 'Ray' Swanson

LONE TREE - John Raymond "Ray" Swanson, 88, of Lone Tree died Saturday, Sept. 23, 2006 in the Lone Tree Health Care Center in Lone Tree.

      Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the United Presbyterian Church in Lone Tree with the Rev. Jason Pittman and Loren Yoder officiating. Burial will be in the Swank Church Cemetery south of Lone Tree near the property which Ray Swanson farmed for nearly 60 years. Following the committal services a time of food and fellowship will be held at the church. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday in the Sorden-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Lone Tree. Memorials may be made to the Lone Tree Health Care Center, the United Presbyterian Church in Lone Tree, the Swank Church and Cemetery Association in Lone Tree or Amenity Hospice of Cedar Rapids.
