John Robert Young March 7, 1935 - August 10, 2003

      John Robert "Bob" Young, 68, of Warsaw, Ill., died on Sunday, Aug. 10, 2003, at his home.

      The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 13 at the First Presbyterian Church of Warsaw with the Rev. William Olmsted officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Warsaw. The family will meet friends from 5 to 8 p.m. today at DeJong's Funeral Home in Keokuk. a Masonic rites service will be given during visitation at 7:30 p.m. Memorials have been established to the First Presbyterian Church and the Masonic Lodge No. 257, both of Warsaw.

      Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Suzanne Elting of Warsaw, Betsy Lieb of Lombard, Ill., and Sarah Young of Rushville, Ill; a son, John Young of Warsaw; five granddaughters and one great-granddaughter; a brother, Bill Young of Osceola; and a sister, Mary Lou Courtney of New Port Richey, Fla.

      He was preceded in death by his parents.
