John S. Minick

    John S. Minick, 82, of Washington, died Saturday, May 9, 2009, in the Washington County Hospital in Washington following a decline in health.

    Mass of the Resurrection will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 12, at St. James Catholic Church in Washington with the Rev. Paul Appel officiating.  Burial will take place at Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington with military honors conducted by Washington American Legion Post 29.  Visitation began at noon today at the Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington where the family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m.  and prayer services will be held at 7:30 p.m.  Memorials may be directed to St. James Church or to Mary Knoll Missionaries.

    Mr. Minick was born March 18, 1927, in Washington, the son of Charles T. and Hilda L. (Richardson) Minick.
