John W. Bloom
John W. Bloom, 62 of Winfield, died Tuesday, Nov. 18, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 21, at Honts Funeral Home in Winfield. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Steven Zittergruen officiating. Burial will follow at Swedesburg Church Cemetery, with a military flag presentation.
A memorial has been established for the Swedesburg Lutheran Church.
He was born May 8, 1946, in Mt. Pleasant, the son of Waldo and Bonnie Carlson Bloom.
