John Wallace Walker

      John Wallace Walker, 83, of Washington, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2008, at the United Presbyterian Home following a lengthy illness.

      Celebration of Life services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 11, in the Jones-Eden Funeral Home with the Rev. Kitch Shatzer officiating. Visitation will begin at noon Sunday in the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Masonic Lodge services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Interment with military honors conducted by Crawfordsville and Washington American Legions will be held in the Crawfordsville Cemetery in Crawfordsville. Memorials may be made to the United Presbyterian Home or the Iowa Hospice.

      Mr. Walker was born Sept. 5, 1924, in Marysville, Tenn., the son of Clarence A. and Alma E. (Wallace) Walker. He married Martha E. Davis on Aug. 1, 1946 in Ainsworth.
