Johnathon A. Schadt
Johnathon Allen Schadt, 38, of Des Moines, formerly of Brighton, died Monday December 7, 2015, as the result of a traffic accident near Rochester, MN. He was born December 30, 1976, in Davenport to Rodney and Stephany Chuck Schadt. Johnathon grew up in Brighton and graduated from Washington High School in 1995. During his high school years he was highly involved in FFA, serving as an officer, and worked at the Fareway meat counter. Most recently he drove a truck for Adrian Trucking and McLaughan Trucking. He attended school at Iowa State University for a short time after graduating high school, and had recently returned to study pre-engineering at Des Moines Area Community College in Ankeny, with plans to transfer to Iowa State and complete his degree. He was taking the past semester off to save money for the expenses of Spring semester.
Johnathon is survived by his mother Stephany ?Teppy? of Brighton, one brother, Nathaniel Schadt (Robin) of Norway, IA, three sisters: Jennifer McCoy (Kenny) of Champaign, IL, Natalia Thilges (Terry) of Ankeny, IA and Tiffany Mann (Aaron) of Des Moines, IA, his grandmother Cecil Chuck, nieces Anndra, Khloe, Emma, Madison, Tessa, and Lilli, nephews, Kameron, Kanin, Hudson, Declan and Gracen, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Rodney, niece Rashidi and his grandparents: Norbert Chuck, Calvin and Lucille Schadt, and Phyllis Johnston.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, and was always the biggest supporter of his mother, siblings, and nieces and nephews. His nieces and nephews were his biggest pride and joy, and he cherished every moment with them. Any opportunity he had to play games, read books, or get down and give piggy back rides, he took. He took the same pleasure in spoiling his friend?s children, especially Boede and Macie who loved to refer to him as ?Uncle Taco?. He had an amazing group of friends and he talked frequently about their fishing, and camping trips and their annual meat fest adventures. He loved life, and politics. Anyone who knew him, knew his opinion, and he would make sure of that. He was an active member of the NRA. He loved to read, write and play video games.
