Johnnie H. Sammons

Johnnie H. Sammons, 47, of Mount Pleasant died Monday, Feb. 6, 2006, at his home.

      A graveside service is set for 10 a.m. Friday at Grant Cemetery in Rome, with the Rev. Jerry Phillips and the Rev. Tom Palmer officiating. Burial will be in Grant Cemetery.

      Visitation will begin at noon Thursday, with the family present from 6-8 p.m. at Beatty-Murphy Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant. Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Foundation or to an education fund for his daughter.

      Mr. Sammons was born May 8, 1959, in Fairfield, the son of John F. and Roberta Hollister Sammons. He married Tina Woodson Oct. 3, 1993. He later married Linn Phillips May 3, 2002.
