Jonas Harper November 15, 1919 - February 12, 2004
Jonas Merrell Harper, 84, of Loves Park, Ill., died Thursday morning on Feb. 12, 2004, of complications from a year's battle with ALS.
The memorial service was on Sunday, Feb. 15 at the Perry Chapel with the Rev. Kent Hadley of Wauwatosa, Wis., officiating. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the Rockford, Ill., Burpee Museum's Dinosaur Exhibit, 813 N. Main St., Rockford, Ill., 61105.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Beverly Rutledge of Loves Park, Ill.; a son, Jon Criswell Harper of Crystal, Minn.; four grandchildren and a great-grandson; and an aunt, Agatha Genoway Nance of Stephenville, Texas.
