Joseph C. Miller

Joseph C. Miller, 62, of Mount Pleasant, formerly of Brighton, died Sunday afternoon, Oct. 9, 2011, at Sunrise Terrace Care Center in Winfield. 

A service is planned at 11 a.m. Thursday at Gould Funeral Home in Brighton, with the Rev. Robert Koepcke officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Brighton. 

Visitation will be 9:30-11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials for Huntington?s disease research at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics may be left at the funeral home or may be mailed to the family at 502 E. Madison Ave., Mount Pleasant 52641.

Mr. Miller was born March 15, 1949, in Washington, the son of John W. and Margaret Ann Mann Miller. He married Tammy Miller in 1980 in Fairfield. They later divorced. 

Survivors include one daughter: Jenilea Ahlf and husband James Phillips of Letts; two granddaughters; two stepgranddaughters; his mother of Mount Pleasant; and one sister, Jean Evans of Mount Pleasant.
