Joseph 'Chester' Nelson
Joseph "Chester" Nelson, 96, of Farson, died Friday, June 15, 2007, at home.
A service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Fremont Funeral Chapel in Fremont. Interment will follow in Competine Cemetery near Farson.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Fremont Funeral Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Competine Cemetery.
Mr. Nelson was born Feb. 17, 1911, near Abingdon, the son of Joseph Ray and Clara Smith Nelson. He married Maxine McWilliams Dec. 11, 1932, in Ottumwa. She died in 1990.
