Joseph George 'Joe' Lower

      PARNELL-Joseph George "Joe" Lower, 85, of Parnell, died Sunday, Sept. 18, 2005, at English Valley Care Center, following a lengthy illness.

      Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 22, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Parnell, with the Rev. Pat Lumsden officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, with military honors accorded by American Legion Post 369 of Parnell and VFW Post 8797 of Williamsburg. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday,at the church, with a Scripture service held at 7 p.m. Memorials may be directed to St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Kloster Funeral Home in Marengo is in charge of arrangements.

      Mr. Lower was born on April 12, 1920, in Williamsburg, to George B. and Kathryn Callan Lower. He married Mary Laurine Hanson on July 9, 1941, in Holbrook.
