Joyce A. Nebel, 91, of Washington, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at the United Presbyterian Home in Washington. Her body has been cremated and a graveside service will be held Thursday, January 18, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Eicher Mennonite Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Eicher Mennonite Church. The Beatty Peterseim Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Joyce Ann (Kleese) Nebel was born March 29, 1932, in Washington, Iowa, the daughter of Frank B. and Wilda L. (Fisher) Kleese. She graduated from West Chester High School in 1951 and attended AIB College. On December 25, 1951, she was united in marriage to Raymond Nebel at the West Chester United Methodist Church. Joyce was a member of the Eicher Mennonite Church. Ray and Joyce wintered in Texas for 40 years.

Survivors include her son Michael (Marina) Nebel of Ankeny, IA, three grandchildren: Shawna Dunkin, Shelby Jo Taylor and Stewart Nebel, five step-grandchildren: Patty Patron, Brenda Paz, Chrystal Coronel, Ruby Griffin, Perla Rocha, and 19 great-grandchildren including: Karston, Kallee and Cason Nebel, Treyton and Hayze Duncan, and Brecklyn Taylor.

Preceding Joyce in death were her parents, her husband Ray, her brother Robert Kleese and her sister Eleanor Deal.
