Joyce Ann Guy

      Joyce Ann Guy, 72, of rural Brighton, died Friday, Sept. 30, 2005, at McCreedy Home in Washington.

      A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 4, at St. James Catholic Church in Washington, with the Rev. Ed O'Melia and the Rev. Richard Boyd officiating. Burial will be in Sandy Hook Cemetery. Visitation began at noon today at Beatty Funeral Home in Washington, where family will be present from 5 to 7 this evening. There will be a Rosary said at 4 p.m. and a Vigil Service at 7 p.m., this evening. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Washington County or the 4-H building at the fairgrounds.

      Mrs. Guy was born on May 16, 1933, in East Pleasant Plain, to Max Bernard and Lois Irene (McClintic) Benda. On Feb. 23, 1952, she married Lathol Allen Guy in East Pleasant Plain.
