Joyce B. Collins

CLEVELAND, Ohio ? Joyce Brewer Collins, of Cleveland Heights, Ohio, died Monday, Sept. 26, 2016, of Alzheimer?s disease and its complications.

A memorial service will take place on Saturday, Nov. 5, at The Church of the Covenant, at 11205 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44106. Memorial donors are asked to please consider sending a gift to the church.

Mrs. Collins was born in 1936 in Washington, the daughter of Jay and Helen Brewer. She married William Edward Collins in 1962 in Cleveland, Ohio.

She graduated from Washington High School. In 1959 she graduated from Sterling College in Sterling, Kansas. In 2002 she retired from teaching kindergarten at her neighborhood elementary school.

Surviving are two children, Lisa Collins and partner Lee Bernstein of Kingston, New York, and Eric Collins and wife Keri of Charlotte, North Carolina; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, in 2008.
