Joyce Bachman October 21, 1947 - June 18, 2005

Joyce Bachman, 57, of Mt. Pleasant, died Saturday, June 18, 2005, at her home following a one-year battle with cancer.

      The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 21 at Faith Christian Outreach Church, with the Rev. Monte Knudsen officiating. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. today at Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. A memorial has been established to Hospice for Central Iowa.

      Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Teresa Smith of Oxford; a grandson; three brothers, Ronald English of Belleville, Ill., Lyle English of Mt. Pleasant, and Wayne English of Louisville, Ky.; three sisters, Mary Alter of Trenton, Irene Bachman of Wayland, and LaVaughn Hernke of Cannon Falls, Minn.

      She was preceded in death by her parents.
