Joyce Crull

COLUMBUS JUNCTION ? Joyce Crull, 84, of Letts, died Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2016, in Bickford Cottage in Muscatine.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 13, at the Letts United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Indian Creek Cemetery. Following the burial, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the church. Memorials may be directed to the Letts United Methodist Church. The Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Muscatine is taking care of arrangements.

Zora Joyce Hafner was born June 15, 1932, in Letts, the daughter of Byron H. and Mollie E. (Crow) Hafner. She married Fay Frank Crull on Nov. 30, 1952, in Letts.

She enjoyed her profession as an elementary teacher in Cotter and later L-M Community Schools. She was a member of the Letts United Methodist Church. She enjoyed helping in different organizations, jigsaw puzzles, gardening, making baked goods, making banners, sewing, contributing to the church, and playing board games with her grandchildren, and she was an avid Hawkeye fan. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Surviving are three children, Kathleen Muller and husband Lynn of Muscatine, David Crull and wife Maria of Letts, and Lori Wolfe and husband Brian of Muscatine; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and five siblings, Gae Crisman, Marianna Masteller, Marjorie Golden, James Hafner, and Gloria Newell.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and one brother, Eugene Hafner.
