Joyce Hole
Joyce Hole, 53, of Olds, died from injuries received in a single-car accident south of Trenton on Franklin Ave. (W-55) at 7 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 2, 2000.
Tbe funeral service was 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 6, at Marion Avenue Baptist Church in Washington with the Revs. Larry Brown and John Herdman officiating. Burial was in Ollie Cemetery in Ollie. A memorial has been established. Arrangements were by the Weir Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hole was born Oct. 2, 1947, at Blue Earth, Minn., the daughter of Ralph G. and Evelyn J. Winter Cavin. She married John D. Hole on Feb. 10, 1969, at Cedar Rapids. A graduate of Washington High School, she worked at the Kozy Cafe in Mt. Pleasant for five years, at the Kalona Turkey Plant, and in the housekeeping department of Iowa Wesleyan College. She delivered the Mt. Pleasant News, Burlington Hawkeye, and Des Moines Register in the Winfield, Olds, and Swedesburg areas of Henry County and was named Carrier of the Year for the Mt. Pleasant News in 1999. She was a member of Marion Avenue Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband; five sons, Lloyd Hole of Cedar Rapids, David Hole of Marion, Roger and Ralph Hole of Mt. Pleasant and Gary Hole of Olds; three brothers, Gary Cavin of Salt Lake City, Utah, Earl Cavin of Cillicothe, Mo., and Dale Cavin of Riverside; three sisters, Linda and Dean Russell of Sigourney, Gloria and Dwayne Palmer of Mt. Pleasant and Carolyn Morris of Mt. Pleasant. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Darlene F. Cavin.
