Judith L. Johnson

Judith Lee Johnson, 60, of rural Hillsboro, died Friday, Dec. 7, at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.

Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, at Pedrick Funeral Home of Keosauqua, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Mark Caston officiating. Burial will be at Hillsboro Cemetery.

Memorials to Van Buren County Hospital may be left at the funeral home, or mailed to the family at 15186 Timber Ave., Stockport, IA, 52651.

She was born Dec. 23, 1946 in Fairfield, the daughter of Clifford and Doris Reighard McCracken. On Sept. 14, 1969, she married Stanley L. Johnson in Richland.

A graduate of Pekin High School and of Iowa Success Busines School in Ottumwa, she farmed in the Hillsboro-Stockport area with her husband and worked for several years in the Keosauqua offices of Villages of Van Buren and the Van Buren County Hospital clinic. She was a member of Bonaparte Baptist Church.

She is survived by her mother; two sons, Ricky and his wife Elizabeth of Omaha, Neb. and Jason and his wife Debra of Stockport; two sisters, Janet Wall of Des Moines and Julia Hollingsworth of Little Rock, Ark.; and three grandchildren.

Her father and husband preceded her in death.
