KALONA - Henrietta June Bender, 73, of Kalona, died Friday, Jan. 24, 2003, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, following a brief illness. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 27, at West Union Mennonite Church in rural Wellman, with the Rev. David Boshart officiating. Burial will be in West Union Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 7 a.m. Sunday at Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona, where the family will receive friends from 1 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Memorials may be directed to West Union Mennonite Church.
