Justin Reschly

Justin Reschly, 20, of Wayland, died Monday, Sept. 25, 2000 in his dormitory room at the University of Iowa.

      The funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, at the Sugar Creek Mennonite Church with the Rev. Phil Slabaugh officiating. Burial will be in the Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 to 8 p.m. Wedneday, Sept. 27, at Bethel Mennonite Church with the family present from 5 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Bethel Mennonite Church or the WACO Community School District. Arrangements are by the Beatty Funeral Home of Wayland.

      Mr. Reschly was born Feb. 18, 1980 in Washington, the son of Michael (?Mick?) and Ranee Grieser Reschly of Wayland. He was a member of Bethel Mennonite Church and graduated from WACO Community High School where he was a member of the basketball and football teams. He attended Southwest State University in Marshall, Minn., where he was also a member of the basketball team before transfering to the University of Iowa.

      Survivors include his parents and two sisters at home, Lori and Jessica; grandparents Leonard and Betty Grieser of Wayland and James and Helen Reschly of Washington; great-grandfather Lyle Wilcox of Washington; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
